About the Bertram Spacehaug Guitar
The Spacehaug is built of Finely Figured Black Korina. It is finished with our Premium 10 Coat Oil and Wax Finsh with four coats of oil, 6 coats of oil wax and 21 Sandings and 40 buffings. Bertram Guitars Premium Oil and Wax Finish protects the wood while the additional coats of wax, sandings and buffings brings the shine to a level approaching a gloss finish.
Push-pull volume pot splits either or both pickups to enable both single coil and double coil tones on the Directly Coupled Chrome Covered Seymour Duncan Distortion (Bridge) and '59 (Neck) Pickups. A 3-way switch enables both or either pickups.
A 24 fret Ebony fretboard on a Directly Coupled, 3 piece quartersawn Maple neck covers 2 full octaves while silve satin Sperzel locking tuners compliment the chrom covered pickups.
Finishing touches include an Ebony headstock overlay with bookmatched Koa truss rod cover cut from the same pieces as the top.
